"Mana: The History We Inherit" is a pop-up exhibit and gathering space opening on October 28, 2023 at the Anchorage Museum.We will have music, food, a time capsule, and more hands-on engagement to celebrate our families and each other.First, we need your photos and stories to bring "Mana" to life.
Share your story
We are looking to feature photos of and stories about elders in the Alaska Filipino community detailing their lives before immigrating and while building community in Alaska.We also would like to include photos and stories from Filipinos in rural and urban Alaska.
How to submit
1. Fill out our contact sheet via Google Forms.
2. Follow the requirements and gather your photos and materials.
3. Drop off or send your photos via certified mail to:Umoja CoWorking

Requirements
Photos must be printed and be at least 7x5 inches. No more than 4 photos should be submitted for consideration.Submissions must include your name, contact email, phone number, mailing address, descriptions of each photo and stories and names of people photographed.Mailed items must be sent via certified mail. Photos must be submitted by July 15.Please note: Submission does not guarantee your photos will be included in the exhibit.
